Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by to check out this first edition of Knight News, and I’m your host, Baldwin Knight. Today we’re going to be talking about Global Wrestling Division and their third Out For Justice event, “Heroes and Monsters”, which features an absolutely thrilling, captivating main event with Mark Storm defending his newly won American Justice championship against the British legend, Chris Crippler. These two have quite the storied history together, but we’ll get into that later. Also on the show we have the so far win-less Britney Anders taking on Chris Compact and Tapioca Joe in a triple threat number one contender’s match and ‘just’ Fiona taking on Adi Goldblum, in Adi’s debut match with the company.
Before I start, I don’t usually do this, but in my personal opinion, why is Britney Anders have a potential championship opportunity if all she does is lose? At least Chris Compact had shown he’s a winner, and Tapioca Joe, despite it being his debut match, has the championship pedigree of his background to rely on. But Britney...nope, I’m not going to say any more. This is a professional blog, not an editorial of my own opinions. Only facts will be presented here.
So, okay, we start off with Ethan Roerich’s office and...hey waitaminue, I know that guy! That’s Sammy Duke, a former Television champion! I had heard he had gone his separate ways with his last employer after a mutual split, and……….what is that paper Ethan Roerich just handed him?? A contract? Sammy Duke is coming to Global Wrestling Division?!
Next up we have...sigh...Britney Anders to open the show. With a microphone. What’s she complaining about this time? Oh, Chris Compact, the man that beat her, doesn’t deserve to be in the same match as her. Sounds like someone is projecting a little here. Are you afraid, Britney? I mean surely you...oh, great, here comes the boss. Thankfully, he put a muzzle on Britney for now. Not literally, of course, although it would be a fashion upgrade...and he has something to say, none of which actually has to do with Britney. Ooh, that stings! Wait, it’s about a new signing? Ethan formally welcomes Sammy Duke to the company, ouch, there’s a double sting to Britney! Wow listen to how much this crowd loves The Lion and his catchy, inspirational theme. Kid handles a microphone well too.
Bombshell dropped! Wow, Britney Anders really must not like Sammy if she [allegedly, I suppose] tried to offer him a sizable amount of money to keep him out of the GWD! Why? I don’t think Sammy is the type to lie about something like that, what does he stand to gain from that? I want to know more and trust I’ll be doing my investigative best to get to the bottom of this. At any rate, Sammy stared directly at Britney as he signed that contract to make it official, at least through the GWD’s first Pay-Per-View event “Puroresu”! Hey, wait Sammy don’t leave yet, Ethan is still talking. Wow, a match already, at Puroresu? WHAT?! You...Ethan Roerich just signed Sammy Duke vs the monster, Nameless, at the big show! Oh man, oh man, what on Earth is Roerich thinking? What has to be going through Sammy’s mind seeing what he is up against……and of course Britney is loving every moment of this...
I can’t believe what Sammy is about to be up against, but this show must go on. Next up we find new signing Jamal Scott in the parking garage and...oh, hey here’s Brady Vega. They’re sharing words...positive words? That’s a rarity in wrestling today! They’re about to head inside and get this party started!
Next up is the debut of Adi Goldblum, as she takes on GWD mainstay, ‘Just’ Fiona the Fierce! With some early aggression Adi looks to make short work of Fiona and put the stamp of domination onto her debut until a misstep completely turns the tides and...Adi is having none of this, we’re going home to try again another day but now Fiona is having none of THAT with a break of Adi’s own count out escape, forcing our referee to restart the count. Sorry Adi. Fiona with a superkick to the face on the outside adding further injury to insult before she finally brings her back down to the ring, where she makes a cover and a near fall but Adi isn’t out of it yet! For a match that didn’t receive as much press as it could have in the two week lead up, these two went at each other hard with no regrets for what had to have been a good twenty minutes when Fiona finally picked up the pinfall. That’s no slight on Adi Gold either. Who goes twenty minutes in their debut match despite a loss? People with promise. Keep an eye on Adi Gold, I expect big things from her after this performance.
Up next...whoa baby, check out the Rolls Royce, someone knows how to roll in style! It’s our champion, Mark Storm! Ever-confident, a true professional, you can tell he’s no stranger to this situation. No nerves, just focused and ready for a tough fight with Chris Crippler. I’m not exactly keen on his claims earlier in the week of being a “God”, but his actions have certainly been nothing-but-flawless since stepping into the GWD to-date.
Here we go, the big one, the triple threat contender’s match. I don’t agree with the younger Compact and Britney going at each other full bore and allowing the veteran Joe to scout them unfazed, but I guess given the circumstances I understand it. Britney takes the first knock down of the match, thanks to Compact’s cross body, but there’s no time for celebration as the veteran Joe takes Compact to sleepytown with a sleeper hold of his own. Veteran move, Tapioca Joe is a thinking man’s wrestler. Britney makes the save, she’s not about to let Compact tap out this early and screw up her chances at gold. For her help, Compact thanks her by dumping her to the outside and smashing her with a plancha to ringside. Geez, with friends like this, who needs enemies?
Joe is quick to follow suit as he trades punches with Compact, a European uppercut to Compact sees him lead to a belly-to-belly suplex right on the outside. Poor Compact. OH and poor Joe too! Britney just smashed that chair into him, taking full advantage of the no disqualification rule in triple threat matches! Because of course she would. She can’t keep up with the other two, so she...I’m sorry, putting my personal opinion away and remaining purely analytical and unbiased now. Now she’s going after Compac - no, Compact moves out of the way and Britney smashes that chair into the steps! That’s because cheater’s never win, of course. Credit where it’s due though, after all of this chaos the three had to have gone on for a half hour at least before Tapioca Joe forced Chris Compact to submit. Britney Anders takes ANOTHER loss, and another missed opportunity because of Chris Compact, and that can’t possibly sit well with her. She’s probably going to be in a foul mood, so if you have Twitter, you might steer clear of @thebritanders if you don’t want to witness her rage...or if you don’t value your life and sanity so much, you might just go there and “poke the bear” so to speak.
All over the world, she’s gone. All over the world she has fought. In two words? Melody Marshall. The Battleangel comes to Global Wrestling Division! That’s the third debut tonight, right up there with Jamal Scott and Sammy Duke! And me, I suppose, although I am just a blogger slash reporter for the company.
NOW here we go, it’s the main event, Chris Crippler takes on Mark Storm, and the American Justice championship is up for grabs! These two men are no strangers to each other, it was Mark Storm that relieved Chris Crippler of his duties as Skyfire Champion. You know that has to be fresh on Crippler’s mind. I mean maybe not, this is a thirty year veteran after all, he’s got all the composure and poise in the world. But if it were me, I know I’d carry that grudge until I returned the favor. How sweet that must be for Crippler to be the guy to relieve Mark Storm of his title…
Crippler takes the early lead going into this match with a half nelson clutch as Storm looks just to get some breathing room as he’s, “stuck in the bear trap” that is the center of the ring, as Dynamite Rollins so keenly points out. But you can’t count out a hero, or...sigh...a “God” as Mark Storm anoints himself as. With Storm free, his first thought is...take his ball, err belt, and go home? But Crippler is right there to stop him with a powerful forearm to the gut for his troubles! Sorry Storm, looks like you’re gonna have to see this one all the way through! In and out of the ring both men constantly move, each trying to one up the other. Storm with double knees to the face of Crippler, while Crippler with the strikes and suplexes, wow this guy acts, talks, works, and carries himself like a legend. Maybe I should get an autograph or something. Just over a half hour of both warriors passing the advantage and...what? No! No, not like this! After keeping the referee occupied, Mark Storm blatantly assaults Crippler where the sun doesn’t shine, then Stormstrike, and a three-count more elementary than the ending of a Sherlock Holmes book. Mark Storm is no hero...he’s a fraud! Epic match? Mark Storm just wants to cling to his title at whatever the cost!
What arrogance! The last minutes of Out For Justice is nothing more than Mark Storm’s own posturing, with his foot placed directly on Chris Crippler’s chest Why? Like a trophy? Who can stop Mark Storm? Tapioca Joe? What if Britney Anders gets her shot? The Battleangel? What if Sammy Duke and his heart of gold was the one? One thing is for certain though…
The Global Wrestling Division needs a hero. Because Mark Storm certainly ISN’T!
