FADE IN:

In a mostly dark and dimly lit studio apartment in Los Angeles, an empty bottle of Mickey's resting on a square table explodes after a fist comes crashing down upon it. Brady Vega's obnoxious laughter is heard and a thunderous voice is heard shortly after.

REX CASSIDY
The California Republic Division is our warzone!

BRADY VEGA
Our sanctuary of pain and wickedness.

REX CASSIDY

BRADY VEGA
Our plan will not fail.

REX CASSIDY
We do not fail. We are Foreign Terrortory and we are here to unleash a reign of tyranny and terror that has not been seen... well ever, brother.

BRADY VEGA
Yes. We have gold we must capture.

REX CASSIDY
This is much more than gold plates and leather my boy. This is the greatest mosh pit of all time.

Brady Vega launches another bottle of Mickey's onto the table. CRASH! This time Rex uses a hammer fist to break the glass bottle into tiny pieces. The obnoxious laughter picks up again.

BRADY VEGA
We've got a couple of spotlight thieves in our path Rex. What shall we do?

REX CASSIDY
You mean, our Pride and Heritage champions? The goth alliance formed out of hatred for Kendrick Kross and the once signed Britney Anders? Yeah, those two need to focus on their own issues and not even take a sniff in the direction of the California Republic championship belts. Those belong to us. That is our precious landmark.

BRADY VEGA
What about the Fempire?

REX CASSIDY
Individuals who lack leadership and team work. Their chemistry is as solid as oil and vinegar. They don't mix well, and other than their party lifestyles I don't see anything coming from this Fempire. Talia Areano is the only one respectable and worthy of any television time. Troy Maddox and Jazmin Davis are in a category with the first rounds busts. Your Ryan Leafs of the world.

They never stood a chance. And neither do the others. The One Man Riot and the Army of One are here in CWD to raise as much hell as possible.

Brady launches another bottle and this time Rex punches it in mid-air. Brady laughs and Cassidy joins him in laughter.

2600 clears his throat and puffs his chest out. 7800 brushes off his shoulder…

2600 “When the CWD then announced that it would crown their new champions for this new division.”

2600 “With the creation of the Night of Turmoil.”

2600 “And at this Night of Turmoil, one lucky team is going to walk out as the CRD title holders.”

2600 holds his arms outwards. 7800 runs his gloved hand down the front of his shirt “dusting” off the #3 on it.

2600 “All that did was mark the day, the time, the place in which the OG’s of the CRD officially become your proud representatives of not only the division in which would not have happened if it wasn’t for us, but we will become the flag bearers for the SPORT! We are……”

2600 “Correct 7800, We, we're a pillar in this entire industry of pro wrestling, of freedom fighters and truth keepers, the defenders of everything that is sacred in this great nation, We are, not to pat ourselves on the back, the best of the best.”

2600 nods. “I couldn’t have said it better myself. 7800, you are a poet that the world have never seen and……”

2600 pops 7800s shirt.

2600 “The best the CWD has.”

7800 take a hold of the shirt and pulls it tight and pulls it out from his body slightly.

7800 “Dilly. Dilly dilly dilly dilly! Dilly, Dilly, Dilly, Dilly Dilly dilly! Dilly? Dilly. Dilly Dilly.”

7800 makes a title motion around his waist.

7800 “Dilly.”

2600 “We…...Team ATARI, have sat down every other team that was placed in front of us in the CRD. The unstoppable force of the two big dummies that Yamauchi could find to derail us, Frick and Frack, the dark underlords, the evil terror twins.”

7800 “Dilly.”

2600 “Sent them back with their pitchforks tucked between their legs.”

7800 “Dilly.”

2600 “Yes, that team that keep their thumbs busy day and night on twitter telling everyone that they are indeed women and that they have some sort of empire, it’s just not in the CWD or in the CRD.”

7800 “Dilly.”

2600 “Ladies, sit down, cross your legs and just look there and look pretty because clearly, you’re not as good as you think you are.”

7800 “Dilly.”

2600 eyes get wide, he is stunned.

2600 “You can’t say that 7800! I don’t care if you are the fastest climbing athlete in CWD history. You can’t tell the ladies of Yamauchi to go make you a sandwich!”

7800 crosses his arms and you know he’s smirking under that mask.

7800 “Dilly.”

2600 “Great! Now that so called empire of females won’t shut up on our night….”

7800 places his hand on 2600’s shoulder and stops him..

7800 “Dilly.”

2600 nods.

7800 “Dilly. Dilly dilly dilly, dilly dilly. Dilly dilly dilly dilly? Dilly dilly dilly dilly dilly dilly. Dilly, dilly dilly, dilly, dilly.”

7800 slaps the back of his hand in his other hand.

7800 “Dilly.”

2600 “There is a reason why the CWD haven’t released the names of the other teams yet. We're telling you right now, it’s not to keep this mystery, keep everyone wondering who is going to fight to be the champions of the CRD. But like my partner just pointed out, it’s because the other teams, they are scared. Only doing this for a paycheck. Doing this to get their name out there. Hoping to empress some other company. They don’t have a real shot at winning those belts. They never had a honest chance. This event was created just for us. It was drawn up and became reality in our honor. It’s a forgone conclusion that the CWD has been waiting to tell everyone what we already known. We will be the first CRD champions and once we have our hands on the Energon devise….”

2600 looks at 7800 and they nod.

7800 “Dilly.”

2600 “Yup. We’ll run this place. Yamauchi, you won’t be able to stop us.”

2600 crosses his arms.

2600 “Ever.”

7800 “Dilly.”

A black Range Rover pull into the parking lot as Troy Maddox opened the drivers side door and stepped out. He looked over as Chris Shields gout out of the passengers side and looked around.

Troy: It’s going to be good to have you back brother.

Chris: Yeah, you telling me. I been on the shelf the last year. Having to watch you, Marcus and Fenix doing something we all love.

Troy: You’ll be back to it in no time. In fact I talked with Jazmine and she’s down to help you start training. I’ma be there too….somewhere in the back.

Chris: Don’t you two have a tag title match to focus on?

The two of them started to walk as Troy shifted his bag over his shoulder. The last time he faced a match this big he took the loss to Brittany Anders.

Troy: The Fempire faced a few uphill battles. I didn’t win the Hollywood Honors Championship. Not going to lie about that it was a tough pill to swallow. Good this is Talia brought us back by beating Anders on her first title defense. What happened? She left with out saying a word. Now…it’s me and Jaz in this Tag Team Turmoil.

Chris: Two Title matches so fast. That’s got to be good.

Troy: No longer looking to the past Chris. Got to focus on the prize ahead of me. To do that I get my hands on that little bitch Brady Vega and his boy toy Rex Cassidy. They going to find out first hand how the Fempire operates. I do feel a little bad for Brady though. I think he wanted to holla at Jazmine and she wasn’t have any of it. Got his panties in a bunch and turned around wanting to act all tough. He acts one way on Twitter, I’m looking forward to seeing him back up his mouth.

Chris: Dilly boys?

Troy: Jazmine and I will win.

Chris: Dilly

Troy stopped and looked at Chris trying not to laugh.

Troy: We will push Team Atrai into 2018

Chris: Dilly! Dilly!

Troy: She’s the PS4 and I’m Xbox One

Chris: Dilly….

Chris started to laugh and shake his head.

Chris: I can’t do that shit with a straight face brah.

Troy: It’s some crazy shit right. I once sat backstage watching Anaquin Adams have and entire conversation with 7800. They’ll be tough to get through no doubt but it can be done. I not going to underestimate em, but I aint worried.

Troy stopped thinking about the next time he and Jazmine had to face. He brushed his hand over his mouth and shook his head.

Troy: Now the real challenge. Maki and Equinox. Now those two are going to be the biggest huddle to get over. I don’t have any issue with them personally except the fact they already champions and feel the need to join up. But fuck it. It is what it is. If I can say one thing all the teams have over them it the fact we are teams. Jazmine and I know each other, she’s like a little sister for a reason. You know this C.

Chris nodded his head.

Troy: So we’ll need to go out there and make those others know just what we can do. The Fempire is walking with more gold. No one is going to stop this moment. You either move, or get rolled on.
Troy and Chris start walking into the building as the scene fades.

The scene fades in to the recently turned twenty-one year old second generation wrestler named Jazmin Davis. The young woman, hair pulled back into a ponytail, dressed in torn jeans and a “#fempire” promotional shirt, stands in front of a CWD Wrestle Clinic Eight backdrop.

”The California Wrestlin’ Division Republic Championships will finally be crowned in a little over twenty-four hours. At Wrestle Clinic Number Eight there will be a Tag Team Turmoil match that consists of Team Atari, Foreign Terrortory, the pairin’ of Equinox and Maki, and my big bro, T-Roy, and me, Fempire. That’s goin’ to be ALOT of bodies runnin’ about the ring!”

Shifting her weight from one leg to another, Jaz exhales before continuing.

”I guess I’ll start with that weirdness that is Team Atari. 2600 and 7800, this will be our second go round. The first time you two picked up the win over my girl, Mischa, and me. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, handclap to you guys.”

Jazmin gives a genuine clap for a few seconds before continuing.

”That night, at that moment, Team Amazin’ Technicians And Robotic Inventions were indeed the better union than Fempire. Now, though, you can best believe that T-Roy and me don’t plan to be made obsolete by a group of masked jokers in their pajamas that probably a worship a shrine in their closet of Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney.”

A few strands of hair fall from into her face and she blows the annoying hairs away.

”Rex Cassidy and Brady Vega. Foreign Terrortory. Where in the world did they manufacture you guys from? Moreso that troll Brady Vega but since you guys are a team, you’ll be gettin’ this verbal work too, Rex.”

“For whatever reason the Troll just popped up on my Twitter feed and started talkin’ mad reckless to Fempire. I understand you want to get noticed. I know that’s cool to try to ride the wave in California Wrestlin’ Division that Fempire is creatin’. But, dude, come on. Really?!”

“But I’m a realist about this business. I’m even more aware that with all the movin’ parts in the match that I can’t guarantee Fempire will win the match, BUT you can best believe that we’re goin’ to make sure the two of you aren’t successful. So while y’all thinkin’ of stoppin’ us, know that we are goin’ to stop y’all!”

She purses her lips defiantly while raising her right eyebrow.

”And finally the wildcards in this Tag Team Turmoil: Equinox and Maki. The California Wrestlin’ Division Heritage Champion and the California Wrestlin’ Division Pride Champion. No one saw those two gettin’ thrown into the mix happenin’. At least I didn’t. Those two are some heavy, heavy hitters that are requirin’ T-Roy and me to bring Fempire level of wrestlin’ up to the next level. Honestly that’s what we need because it’s no secret that for months we have floundered in California Wrestlin’ Division. Loss after loss after loss we have faced individually and collectively. But our sister, Talia, has been the one to kickstart us into winnin’ ways. So facin’ Equinox and Maki, even though not in single tag team action, will be the challenge Fempire needs.”

“I have nothin’ but respect for you two, Equinox and Maki. You have displayed determination and heart in our sport that is rarely found these days. It reminds me of my father’s age of wrestlin’. That age of wrestlin’ that I have been tryin’ to uphold here and now. So with that bein’ put out there, I know that we can go into this Tag Team Turmoil match as honorable competitors and regardless of the outcome the respect will still be intact.”

She pounds her her heart with her right fist as a symbol of solidarity.

”Team Atari. Foreign Terrortory. Equinox and Maki. Fempire. Tomorrow night. Live on Adult Swim. Wrestle Clinic Eight. Tag Team Turmoil. To crown the California Wrestlin’ Division Republic Champions. It’s goin’ to be one helluva match. Good skill, everyone.”

“Nice for what?”

Jazmin gives a cute eye wink before the scene fades out.

Sitting alone in a valley, devoid of trees, wildlife or anything natural, Melissa Aki aka Maki, with her championship title over her naked shoulder, was staring out at the barren landscape. She was wearing jeans, a pink tank top with her hair pulled back into a pony tail and wearing no make up. She had been out for a run, then saw the scene unravel in front of her.

The wildfires had ripped through the heart of California and it made her sad, yet deep within in the bowels of her existence there was someone smiling, enjoying the chaos, the disorder and bringing the souls, human and inhumane to the soulless vortex she resided in. The demoness was laughing at the death and destruction which was juxtaposed to the viewpoint of the California Pride Champion.

“This devastation is horrible to witness, to see this once beautiful landscape charred and burnt to a cinder is nothing short of horrendous. This happened in my adopted state, in my adopted country just as I became a citizen of this country. You see this, CWD fans, you see this abhorrent and mindless destruction of everything that is beautiful, pure and proud, this is your future if Kendrick Kross defeats me, which we all know he cannot. Yet, bare witness to these events as not everything we know, everything we want and need comes to pass. The world would be in shock if he did but we all know even the best, even the most obvious scenarios do not always come to fruition. “

She stopped, feinged a smile and continued, “At Wrestle Clinic I will sign a contract with the tattooed freak for a shot at my title. Will it be the usual clusterfuck of a signing or will it break from the norm and be respectful of both of our talents and we both just look forward to the challenge ahead? Respect. It is such an outdated and overused word and expression. I don’t give a flying fuck if Kendrick, if the fans, if the locker room, if the management like me. They don’t need to. I don’t need to like them either. They know that as the champion, as Maki, the internationally renowned icon of the CWD, I demand you like what I do that in that ring. You can state whatever you like about Daniela but she is not me. I can guarantee that she will not make an appearance as I do not want that imbecile to use her as an excuse. I have the power over her like I have the power over Kendrick. It has been too long since I last fought and even longer since I defended my title.”

She tapped her title, got up and went towards a trunk of a once tall and glorious redwood tree as the last remnants of smoke bellowed from it. She placed her hand on it, feeling her palm burn and felt the vibrations of a life tragically cut short or was it? Would it regrow and be stronger than it ever had been?

“Through every devastation comes rebirth, the chance to make amends and start anew. In some cases it expands on its already imperious stature and shakes off the distaste that something like the fire and the attacks, the random events of life like when some ignominous little reject wants to pull himself up to my level by performing some ridiculous attempt at an exorcism which failed but let’s talk more about adding to my already glowing title reign.

Nox and I met up, we spoke about championships, about how we are defining the present and the future of this great company. The Tag team straps came up and you know we have always wanted to team together and why not in the tag team turmoil tournament? The Maki and Nox connection. Has a ring to it, wouldn’t you say? Both of us as double champions so we entered and now we are here on the cusp of adding more gold to our resume’s. I know you may think to yourself, ‘why is Maki deconstructing the other teams chances of victory?’ Trust me I am not. I know all about Team Atari from my debut with the company. I am friends with the beautiful and tough Fempire. These foreign territory scoundrels as well. So its going to be a hell of a fight but one in which we both know that if we are on top of our game we can beat them all. The top two names in CWD are not names for nothing but because we are the best at what we do and sorry loves but you just simply do not compare. "

A little smirk spread on her lips and her eyes twinkled.

“I get it, though. You lot have been teams for a lot longer than we have and of course I expect the annecdotes of the ego clashes, the way we cannot be a team because we both want to be in control of the situation, of our own destinies but remember I trust Nox with my life and yes we have had words before and fought and beat the living shit out of each other but in that ring, when we are on the same page there is no one that can defeat us. Nox flies, Maki fights. We will do whatever it takes to win and if that means I plant Mischa on her head, or the dilly boys through the damn floor so they end up in fucking Australia then we will. You simply do not get what we are capable of. Welcome to your NEW Tag Team champions!”

Maki moves away from the tree as blood seeps from the corners of her mouth, black ooze drips from her eyes as they turn black but before a word is uttered they turn back to normal. Maki smiles. Knowing she has Daniela under her control.
