"Welcome back everyone to the Outside The Ring podcast. I would just like to thank Jamal Scott for joining us in the studio and wish him the best of luck in his Three Way match next week against Equinox and Noah Reigner ay Global Sabotage. Well up next we have Global Division Wrestling’s Immortal Kingdom Crown holder. He clearly needs no introduction, as I don't think I could possibly do him any justice anyway, but he is a thirty plus year traveled mat veteran. Everywhere he has been he has stood for honor, valor, and bravery. He is one of the last true heroes in the sport of wrestling. He is my close friend, none other than Tapioca Joe."
Studio applause is heard.
"You humble me, Jason. You make me seem I'm bigger than I actually am."
Laughter of both men.
"Well I only state the truth, old friend. So let's get right down to business shall we? There has been nothing but talk in the wrestling world concerning all things dealing with the group known as the Dogs of War, particularly Tony Savage and Mark Storm, since they are employed with GWD. You’ve already fell victim to the self-proclaimed God of Wrestling, although Storm’s win was by nefarious means. Since that time you have been back on the crusade to clean up professional wrestling."
”The Dogs of War. Seems like there is nowhere anyone can go without hearing about them. But, yes, I was defeated in my attempt to take away the American Justice Championship away from Storm and regardless of how he won, the fact of the matter is that Mark Storm won. I’m not so ego driven that I can’t admit that he won. But want I won’t do is give the young man any kind of respect. With all the talent he possesses, he dishonors himself, much less this sport, by his despicable acts to win.”
"Over the past two months and counting, the Dogs of War have proven to be an unstoppable machine. They have participated in wanton acts of violence during broadcasts and terrorist acts after hours off camera. I can see why you feel this way, Tap."
"There is no doubting that they are a talented group of wrestlers. No denying that individually or separate they are wrestlers that can hold their own in the wrestle ring. I have nothing but respect for each and all of their wrestling ability but from there that is where all respect ends. The whole strength in numbers, gang mentality, in order to win matches has never been something I have liked in our sport. What end does it actually accomplish? What evil group ever lasts and succeeds in their ultimate goal? In all honestly what is their goal? Does anyone really know? Do you know, Jason?"
"Hmm...to my knowledge the Dogs of War have...hmm..."
”Exactly. Firstly, and more importantly to them, it seems that they are in GWD to insure that Storm holds onto the American Justice Championship by any means necessary. Secondly, they are there to create as much havoc and mayhem amongst the roster in order to insure their first priority is maintained.”
”I can see that now that you’ve mentioned it, Tap.”
"As far as that goal, I think I have seen my fair share of groups that have attempted it in all my years in wrestling. Regardless of what scheme the Dogs of War attempt to use, I firmly believe that the men and women on our roster will be able to withstand this threat."
”Which segways very well into the next topic: the Fighting Turtle Gang.”
”Hmm, what can I say about this without coming off as a bitter old man looking to bury the current generation, Jason?”
”Probably by just saying it and not sugarcoating it, Tap. This is Outside the Ring, remember?”
”True point, Jason, but I have to preface this with what I have already stated. I believe the wrestlers that stand for something, something that is greater than themselves, will stand together to ward off threats as great as the Dogs of War. Currently that first line of protection has fallen to the collection of Kendrick Kross, Melody Marshall, and Sammy Duke, affectionately dubbed as the Fighting Turtle Gang.”
”Got to love that name. That’s marketing gold. But, Tap, I’m wondering why you didn’t list yourself amongst the group?”
”Because I’m no turtle. As financially great it is for the marketing for GWD, I’m no member of a Turtle Gang. There are many philosophical differences and viewpoints between them and me. So it would be easier to disassociate myself from the group now rather than later when they have truly established themselves as the sheriffs of the West. But if at any point they would be in need of my aid, I wouldn’t hesitate to be there to help.”
"Let's hold that thought for after the commercial break, Tap. When we return I want to touch upon several things ranging from your thoughts on the proliferation of female wrestlers in the sport to the real story of how you got the nickname ‘Tapioca’."
Studio applause is heard.
