"Awwww. Seems there are a ton of people who think I'm not good enough. Oh ye of little faith indeed."
The camera adjusts, courtesy of night-vision, and shows The Titaness shrugging while glancing down at her phone. Sarcasm and a mock pouting voice can easily be heard in her voice.
"I care not about these lame poll results to be honest. This isn't the first time I've been the underdog. And it's certainly not my first Triple Threat match. Far from it."
Sam lifts her head up, looking right into the lens.
"Being a favorite is all well and good, Kendrick. But that doesn't guarantee jack shit. You learned that the hard way out of 'being cheated' from another title in another fed. Oh yeah, I heard about your bitch fest on Twitter; how couldn't I?"
The Titaness smirks, chuckling softly.
"I did warn you, boy; confidence versus cocky. Hopefully that loss has helped you understand the difference between the two in a more first-hand manner. And now ... onto Equinox and Maki, my main opponents for this upcoming fray."
Sam tucks her phone away into her pocket before slowly beginning to pace, walking through the vast forest. After finding a good tree, she leans against it, nodding slowly - more to herself than anyone else.
"In the end, it's fair to say that the three of us - myself, Maki, and Equinox - are wild cards against one another. Research is all well and good. But it doesn't give me, nor my opponents, the full picture of what we're all truly capable of. For our own reasons, we all desire the same thing - the Pride Championship. Yet, there are several proverbs including 'pride'. One well known saying, for instance, is 'Pride can kill a man'. The other is exactly what I labeled this episode, 'Pride before the fall'. It's fair to guess this coming up Triple Threat will put those sayings into action, and see who succumbs to which first. Equinox ... allow me to speak with you first."
Samantha pauses once more, making sure all of her thoughts are gathered before calmly relaying them.
"From what I've found and heard about you, you claim to be a hero. I will admit that compared to Mark Storm, you're certainly more appealing and honest. So for that, thank you. Unfortunately, I have no intentions of coming out of this match empty-handed. You're not the only one who intends to do any and everything to secure a win. I will also. Good luck - you'll need it. Forgive me for making this brief, but in all honesty, I did have full intentions of speaking primarily to Maki."
The Titaness grabs her wrists and holds them behind her back, still using the tree as a support.
"So ... I'm going to have to take your word and assume you are undefeated here. Very impressive. I do mean that; I'm not simply being sarcastic. However ... "
Sam clicks her tongue, wagging her right index finger at the camera.
"Most of that promo was hardly fair. Unless - well, no. Even if you have been following my other careers in the other federations, you haven't been against me. And while that applies back at me, I have a few strengths of my own. Some that I'm more than fine revealing. I did not beat both Storm and Broseph on a mere fluke or whim. The moment I stepped foot into the ring, my mind went into a battle mode. My focus was solely on them. Instincts and adrenaline kicked in."
The Titaness ceases clicking her tongue, but she keeps her digit in the air.
"I'm not going to say you don't do this yourself, Maki. What I am implying, however, is you're about to go against someone who has never once been defeated via submission, nor even a count-out. Only pinfalls. I'm curious, Maki, do you even have a back-up plan should your submission fail? Or will the sight take you too aback and you'll freeze up? Because I can guarantee you, I definitely won't. I'm going to keep fighting, stopping only when my hand is raised in victory. Rest assured, the second you hesitate - no matter how brief it may be - you'll help seal your fate.
"It is true that, yes, I have a lot more physical-based strengths. But I do have my own share of psychological ones. Those are merely last resorts. I promise you, though, you will never see any of those coming -- if I even need to use them at all.
"However, there is one thing I do agree with, Maki. The Pride Championship does need to have a meaning once more. It's been corrupted, tainted for far too long. With that being said and done ... "
Sam chuckles softly.
"Forgive me if I don't agree with one of the last remaining Bitches of War laying their filthy hands on such a lovely treasure."
The Titaness scoffs, narrowing her eyes as she shakes her head slowly from side to side.
"No, no. That definitely won't suffice. In fact, let me back-track slightly. Now that your former Alpha is gone, mind filling me in with the answer to this inquiry? Mark never gave me a reply, so perhaps you can shed some light on this mystery. What, exactly, is the true point of the Dogs of War? Even moreso with Mark out of the equation? Hmmmm?"
Samantha paces a few more times, stopping in front of a new tree before resuming.
"What I saw - and why I'm so adamant on putting an end to this faction - is mere tyranny. Bullies. Corruption. Those are traits and aspects rhat never should be able to hold a Title. Earned or not - though I will give more bonus points if it's at least obtained cleanly and without cheating. Assuming Kendrick's Little Princess doesn't try to include herself in our fight, then I will acknowledge you or Equinox as the fair winners. I'm also hoping you won't try to be like a certain idiot I fought and attempt to sneak items like brass knuckles in. This is a Triple Threat, not a No Disqualification match. All the same ... "
The Titaness shakes her head, a stern expression entering her hazel eyes.
"I have zero intentions of letting you or Equinox claim that belt. I returned here while having a mission in mind. Step one is putting any remaining bitches down. Step two? Ensuring the Pride Championship never falls into wrong hands ever again. Equinox would easily be far more preferred over you, Maki; yet what I vowed earlier remains true. I'm absolutely not going to lay down and allow you two to do what you wish."
Sam pulls her thumb across her throat, grinning confidently.
"I don't need to cave canem, because soon, your petty group will be gone. Snuffed out, like a flame from a candle. Ten days ... that's all the time separating us from meeting in the ring. Until then, I'll prepare for you. I highly recommend you two get yourselves as ready as you can. Rest assured, neither of you have gone against anyone quite like me. And for you in particular, Maki, I will be the toughest opponent CWD has offered you. That's a promise. I'll see you both soon enough."
Within seconds, the scenery fades from view, followed closely by the figure of Samantha. Within mere seconds, all that lingers is darkness, indicating the end of the promo.
